Standing at 5'5", Akemi has resilient yet slightly curled black hair with matching eye colour. She is known as a beauty to many, but she remains unfazed by such compliments and the like. In her MMA days, her figure was much more athletic and physically suited to her profession, but since retiring; she maintained a toned and physically fit build with more feminine curves and features.
Though others may consider her as a striking woman, her personality is anything but. She is fierce, cold and absurdly harsh to the point where she is described as 'foul'. Akemi purposely keeps others at bay as a means of ensuring she stays on her path to achieving her ultimate goal. She will not allow others to get closer to her, and will not think twice about becoming confrontational to those who pose as irksome to her.
Bold, outrageous and frankly cruel, Akemi keeps her walls up and her guard on at all times no matter what.
Akemi's History:
Born in Beijing, China. Akemi was solely raised by her father, Taneshiro Eiichi, after the unfortunate passing of her mother due to trauma sustained from child-birth. By the age of three, the pair had moved back to her fathers home district in Japan, Shinjuku.
After relocating to Kamurocho, Akemi took to learning from her father in the art of martial arts, as he was once a renowned martial artist and teacher. She was a novice to start, appearing to have some potential which had grown as she grew older. With Eiichi’s influence and teachings, she went on to compete in amateur competitions, to which she hadn’t succeeded at first.
Over time, Eiichi invested further into her career which proved to be financially draining on him as a single father, attempting to revive his career as a teacher - but it was of no avail. Financial strains continued to show and their lack of monetary stability lulled them into a vulnerable state, to which he was so fatefully approached by mere loan sharks. Reluctantly, he accepted; leading to their gradual downfall. With the loan, Eiichi continued to fund Akemi in further training programmes as such, allowing her to become a formidable opponent and try once again competitively.
Her second chance had paid off and Akemi had soon excelled to the very top. However, with her growing fame came the crippling responsibility of ensuring to keep the loan sharks content. But Eiichi had kept such debt away from his daughter. Upon returning home after being named champion in Okinawa, Akemi was met with a deafeningly eery silence, taking note of spilled claret that ran along the ground. Rushing further inside, she saw her fathers lifeless corpse on the ground.
Soon after obtaining her championship status, Akemi announced her retirement from MMA and went on to delve further into the mystery of her fathers dead. She worked tirelessly alongside the police and units organised-crime in kamurocho, but sadly, she was unable to gain further information. Due to the nature of his wounds and untimely death, accompanied by the appearance of their home - the police were under the assumption that it was a case of armed robbery. But this did not sit well with her, believing that there was something much deeper going on, but the police were not willing to assist.
It was then that she was referred to an information broker, to which they had gathered enough information regarding her fathers death. It was then confirmed to Akemi that Eiichi Taneshiro was murdered by local grunts under the Dojima family who dabbled in idle loan shark duties, including collection of payment and instilling force if necessary. She was intently warned not to pursue further, worried for her safety and well-being. But Akemi refused to listen, demanding a way to infiltrate the family and locate those responsible.
After meeting with a representative on behalf of the family as a means of assessing her potential and skills, Akemi was soon hired as a lowly member, being tasked with lesser significant roles to begin with, while working alongside fellow grunts as a means of learning the way the criminal family. Time passed, and she seemed to flourish under the guise of a brutal woman who simply wished to make money, as well as a name for herself. Unbeknownst to the family of her Chinese lineage, Akemi chose to keep herself purposely at a distance while climbing the ranks, ensuring that none would get closer than what she could ever allow. Akemi continued to make a supposed name for herself, while not allowing to raise suspicion by gathering further information as to whom was directly responsible for her fathers untimely demise.
At the age of 30, she was able to exact her revenge. As the supposed ‘survivor’ of an unanticipated attack from a mysterious group, Akemi was able to get away without facing blame. But it sparked a bloodlust she hadn’t quite experienced, paling in comparison to her competitive nature while in a fight. Akemi grew all the more determined, wishing for the families demise by fraying the threads on the inside, bit by bit.

iv. very selective with shipping, akemi aint easy to get along with. Her current ships are exceptional circumstances and are undergoing a lot of plot/development.
